Come Together
Privacy policy
How we look after your details when you buy a ticket, fill in a creative matchmaking form, use the matches page, or hear from us by email. Last updated 2 November 2026.
Who we are
Come Together Project Ltd, trading as Come Together, runs the events on this site and is the data controller for the details described here. For anything about your data, write to info@cometogether-project.com. We answer within a month.
The short version
- We hold what you give us to book and run an event: your name, email, ticket type and any dietary needs.
- If you fill in a creative matchmaking form, we hold your answers and headshot and use them to match you and to print your creative ID card.
- Your card front is shown to the other guests at the event and on the matches page. Your full answers and your email are shown to other guests only if you tick the box to share them, and you can untick it at any time.
- We do not sell your details or use them for advertising, and the public site sets no tracking cookies.
- The matches page closes on 31 January 2027. Matchmaking answers and headshots are deleted within six months of the event.
What we hold, why, and on what basis
Buying a ticket
Tickets are sold through Ticket Tailor, which has its own privacy policy for the payment. From Ticket Tailor we receive your name, email address, ticket type, the names of anyone you booked for, and the dietary requirements and drink preferences you tell us about. We use these to run the event you booked: the guest list on the door, catering, and the emails about the night. The legal basis is the contract you made when you bought the ticket. We keep the booking record afterwards for our accounts, which the law requires.
If you book for someone else, we hold their name, and their email if you gave it, for the same purposes, and those details came from you. Please show them this policy.
Creative matchmaking
Before some events we invite guests to fill in a creative matchmaking form: your name and email, your role, a short bio, the kinds of people you want to meet, your Instagram handle and portfolio link if you choose to give them, a headshot, and your workshop choices. We use these to match you with other guests, to put together your group and workshops, and to make your creative ID card, which is printed and displayed at the event. Our team makes the matches with help from an AI tool, Anthropic's Claude, which suggests pairings and shortens card wording from what you wrote. A person checks every match, and no decision about you is made by a machine alone.
The legal basis for matching you and sharing your details with your matches is your consent, given by the tick on the form. Your card front is also shown on the creative ID wall at the event and to the other guests on the matches page. We do that on the basis of our legitimate interest in running an event whose whole point is meeting the other people in the room, which is what we believe guests expect from a matchmaking night. The form's tick mentioned only your matches, so if you would rather your card were not shown to the room, email info@cometogether-project.com and we will take it down.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@cometogether-project.com, and we will take your card down and stop sharing your answers. Withdrawing does not affect anything shared before you withdrew. Filling in the form is optional: without it you simply are not matched and have no card.
Who sees what. The front of your card (name, Instagram handle, role, who you want to meet, your workshops and headshot) is shown to your matches, on the creative ID wall at the event, and to other guests on the matches page. Your bio, the full text of who you want to meet, and one way to reach you (your Instagram, or your email if the address is yours alone, or your portfolio link) are shown only to the people you were matched with. After the event they are shown to other guests, with your email and portfolio link, only if you tick the box to share them. The matches page also shows other guests whether or not you have ticked.
The matches page
After the event, guests can open the matches page by typing their name and the email they booked with. We use those two details only to find your card. The page shows you your matches and everyone's card front from the night.
If you tick share your details with the group, the other guests who have also ticked can see the back of your card and download a contact list with your name, role, industry, who you want to meet, your email and your Instagram link. Only people who ticked appear on the list, and only people who ticked can download it. Untick the box at any time to come off the list and hide your answers again from then on. We cannot recall a list someone has already downloaded, so please think about the tick before you make it.
The matches page closes on 31 January 2027.
Emails about the event
We email ticket holders what they need for the night: timings, their group and workshops, their creative ID, and a short follow-up afterwards. The legal basis is the contract you made when you booked. We keep a record of whether each of these emails was delivered, so we can tell when something has gone wrong.
Newsletters and future events
If you sign up to our newsletter, or you have been to one of our events and have not asked us to stop, we may email you about future events. To stop them, reply to any of them or write to info@cometogether-project.com, and we stop straight away. We never pass your details to anyone else for their marketing.
If you sign up for priority access to tickets, we hold your name, your email and, if you give it, your WhatsApp number, so we can tell you the moment tickets open. We keep them until you ask us to stop.
Enquiries, chefs and stallholders
If you write to us, apply to cook or trade at an event, tell us you would like to contribute to one, or register as staff or a stallholder on a form, we hold what you send us for as long as the conversation or the event needs, then for a reasonable period in case you come back to us. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the business and answering you, or the contract we make with you.
Who else sees your details
Our team, and the small number of services we use to run the site and the events. Each of them works under a contract that limits what they can do with your details to the service they provide us:
| Who | What for |
|---|---|
| Ticket Tailor | Selling the tickets. Ticket Tailor is a controller in its own right for your payment. |
| Supabase | Our database and the storage for headshots. |
| Vercel | Hosting this website and its forms. |
| Postmark and Google Workspace | Sending and receiving our emails. |
| Anthropic | Its Claude model helps our team suggest matches and shorten card wording from your matchmaking answers, and summarises our own notes on a contact for the team. |
Other guests see what the sections above describe, and nothing more. Venues and caterers see dietary and access needs only where they need them to look after you on the night. We would also disclose details if the law required it.
Where your details are kept
Our database and the photo storage are in London. Some of the services above process data in the United States, among them the website hosting, email delivery and the AI tool. Those transfers are covered by the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses, or by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so your details keep the same protection they have here. Email info@cometogether-project.com for a copy of the safeguards.
How long we keep things
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Dietary requirements and drink preferences | Removed from the guest list after the event they were given for. |
| Creative matchmaking answers and headshots | The matches page closes on 31 January 2027. Answers and headshots are deleted within six months of the event. |
| Your name and email from a booking | Kept while we run events you might want to hear about, unless you ask us to stop or to delete you. The booking record itself is kept for six years for our accounts. |
| Newsletter sign-ups | Until you unsubscribe. |
| Enquiries and applications | For the conversation or the event, then up to two years in case you come back to us. |
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong (on the matches page you can edit your own role, bio, links and who you want to meet yourself);
- delete your details, or take your card off the wall and the matches page;
- stop using your details for something, or stop emailing you;
- withdraw consent you have given, with effect from then on;
- give you your details in a form you can take elsewhere.
Write to info@cometogether-project.com and tell us which event you came to. We answer within a month and never charge for it. You also have the right to complain to us about how we have handled your details: email the same address, and we acknowledge a complaint within 30 days and answer it without delay. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
The public website sets no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no analytics scripts. We count page views ourselves, without storing anything on your device and without keeping your IP address, though we do note the type of browser used. If you open the site from a link in one of our emails, the link carries a code that ties your visits to you for the next 30 days, which tells us the email reached you. The matches page keeps nothing on your device.
Three things do store something on your device: a cookie that remembers you have unlocked a password-protected page, for 30 days; the sign-in cookie for our team, and for chefs who sign in to the chef portal; and a saved display preference the site reads. The Ticket Tailor checkout box is Ticket Tailor's own and may set its cookies, covered by its policy.
Keeping your details safe
Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Guest details live in a database the public cannot read; what the matches page shows, and to whom, is described above. Card photos are stored at web addresses that cannot be guessed, so that they can be shown on the cards and on the matches page. The matches page opens on the name and email you booked with and limits repeated wrong guesses, so please keep that email to yourself. Only the people who tick to share appear on the contact list. If we ever had a breach that put you at risk, we would tell you and the ICO.
Changes to this policy
When we change this page we update the date at the top. If a change affects something you have already agreed to, we will tell you by email first.
