JOIN OUR 11TH TEST KITCHEN & RECIPE SWAP
Grab a drink, take a seat next to a stranger, swap recipes and taste one of our chef‘s dishes exploring THIS MONTH’S THEME - The Course Of Life: Imagine you had to dissect your life into impactful dishes. Think of food that represents and shaped you into who you are today. Bring a recipe that tells the story of your background, identity and experiences. Please bring a recipe that fits the theme. Screenshot it on your phone or jot it down in your notes!
We welcome this month’s guest chef, Lalita, a London-based Southeast Asian chef shaped by her Vietnamese, Chinese, Mon, and Thai heritage. Her cooking is rooted in memory, family recipes, market flavours, and shared tables expressed through flavour-led, balanced dishes that honour sweet, sour, salt, and heat. Cooking became her way of healing and reconnecting with her roots. Through Lali by Lalita, she creates intimate, story-driven dining experiences where food becomes a bridge between cultures, past and present, and strangers who leave the table feeling connected.

PARTNERS
Showerings Cider joins us with their dry and gently carbonated cider made with a blend of three vintages. Its delicate balance of sweet and sharpness makes it a distinguished aperitif, perfect to have on its own or paired with food, as a refined alternative to wine. The Showering family have been making cider for over 180 years in Shepton Mallet, Somerset – the temperate heartland of British cider making. Sourced from a single orchard in Somerset, the apples used to make the Showerings’ vintages vary according to the terroir and temperature of each year.
Wholegood supplies fresh produce for our Test Kitchen Club, partnering with organic and biodynamic farmers to champion sustainable agriculture, reduce waste, and empower smarter food choices.
We’re partnering with Popoliolive oil, which has been handcrafted from groves in the Italian region of Abruzzo by the same family for three generations. Made from four different olive varieties, including Leccino, Gentile, Peranzana, and Moraiolo, it’s a bold and peppery blend with a silky finish. At Popoli, olive oil is culture, family, and land, now shared worldwide, one small-batch drop at a time.
We have partnered with Yes Please! Studios for our Test Kitchen, a creative food space in the heart of Hackney created by food & drink photographer Tim Atkins.
